Inspect critical energy infrastructure without risking uptime or safety

FEDS helps power and utility companies inspect transmission towers, cell towers, solar farms, and wind turbines using high-precision drone powerline inspection technology.
Access  thermal, LiDAR, and visual insights faster and safer, with AI-supported anomaly detection that flags issues before they become failures.

Monitoring Power Infrastructure at Scale Is Incredibly Demanding

Transmission tower inspections are risky to inspect

Solar panel faults are difficult to detect

Wind turbine inspections require dangerous manual climbs

Vegetation encroachment near lines goes unnoticed

Line sag and corrosion often go unnoticed until failures occur

Outages increase safety risks and delay operations

Reports are slow to produce and often incompatible with internal systems

Manual ground based inspections are time intensive

Everything You Need to Keep Power Flowing Faster, Safer, and Without Shutdowns.

FEDS delivers LiDAR, thermal, and AI-powered drone analysis to help you monitor towers, solar fields, and wind assets with precision—so your grid stays stable and your teams stay safe.

01

Faster, Safer Powerline and Tower Inspections

We inspect thousands of kilometres of transmission lines and towers using LiDAR, RGB, and thermal sensors, all without boots on the ground. Issues like sagging, corrosion, vegetation or corona loss are flagged instantly using drone utility inspections to cover vast areas efficiently.

02

LiDAR-Enabled ROW Surveys and Vegetation Analysis

Our LiDAR workflows support Right of Way (ROW) surveys with millimeter-grade accuracy. We help detect line sagging, dune encroachment, and vegetation risk, and classify assets in post using AI-assisted analysis.

03

Solar and Wind Asset Monitoring & Cleaning

From thermal inspection of PV arrays to drone-powered solar cleaning, we help clients identify faults and maintain peak efficiency across solar farms. We also inspect wind turbines for structural issues, erosion, or blade wear, safely from the air.

04

Fully In-House, Utility-Tested Workflows

For 11+ years, FEDS Drone-powered Solutions has worked with leading energy companies including Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), TAQA Distribution, and TAQA Transmission. Every mission - from permits to delivery, is executed end-to-end by licensed drone pilots and in-house engineers, with outputs tailored to the infrastructure’s compliance and security requirements.

Built for Scale, Safety, and Grid Stability

FEDS uses rigorously tested, brand-agnostic drone platforms and advanced sensors selected through real-world field validation. We only deploy equipment that meets our standards for reliability, data quality, and mission success.

Inspecting 5,500 Towers in 183 Days

CLIENT

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC)

THE CHALLENGE

Inspect thousands of transmission towers across 4,000 km of difficult, mountainous terrain without lengthy shutdowns, hazardous climbs, or the high costs and limited visibility of helicopter/ground methods. The existing approach yielded just a few towers per day and stretched total timelines toward years.

FEDS SOLUTIONS

We mobilised multi-disciplinary teams and ran a large-scale, end-to-end drone inspection programme. Planning routes, executing capture safely at height, and processing thermal/UV/RGB data into maintenance-ready reports. Our data capturing and analytics workflow lifted daily throughput dramatically while keeping operations running and personnel off the towers.

Results
5,500 towers over ~4,000 km inspected in 183 days vs ~1,183 previously.
~30 towers per day, ~45 minutes per tower; overall inspection efficiency up 80%.
~40% of towers flagged for corona discharge, enabling targeted, loss-preventing maintenance.
